#TarsilaPlatform: A stroll through the arts in the eyes of an artist.
Tarsila do Amaral is the inspiring muse of this initiative since she has experienced two worlds when lived in Europe (Barcelona /Paris) and Brazil. Upon her return to São Paulo, she has become an expressive representative of Brazilian Modernism, in the group of five together with Anita Malfatti, Menotti Del Picchia, Mario de Andrade and Oswald de Andrade.
The Tarsila Platform facilitates cooperation and exchange in Visual Arts. The artists and professionals involved touch upon the history of arts in Brazil and The Netherlands as insiders, creating works and interventions while telling their own stories connected to their references. In this scenario, new dialogues take place, forming a network of meanings and artistic cooperation. The projects #UrbanPoets, #ArtTalks and #Ataleoftwoworlds are part of the Tarsila platform.
- Incentive the exchange in form of residencies and conjoint art creation between Brazil and The Netherlands;
- Spread knowledge on both countries Art Histories;
- Document the projects.
