Home Events 2010 2009 2008 2007 2006 2005	Brazil Instrumental : Nelson Latif & Trio Baru July 23 and 24, 2005 Theater De Ysbreker Amsterdam On July 23 and 24, 2005, A Hora do Brasil Foundation organized its first event in Amsterdam in a weekend dedicated to the best of the Brazilian music. On Saturday, musician and sociologist Nelson Latif and his fellows of Trio Baru – guitarist Bosco Oliveira and Fernando Corbal – gave a workshop about the history of the Brazilian music from 1920's until now, in a chronological description of the social and political background of the country. Next day, they played just about everything, from Villa-Lobos to Jacó do Bandolim, in a full house concert which marked the inauguration of A Hora do Brasil.
